The 2026 Liberia Angel of Independence 1/1000 oz Palladium Coin captures one of Mexico City's most recognizable landmarks in an exceptionally small precious-metal format. Struck from .999 fine palladium with a proof-like finish, the coin honors the famous Angel of Independence, officially known as the Monument to Independence.
The design features the monument's Winged Victory figure, shown with outstretched wings and a raised laurel wreath, an enduring symbol of victory and freedom. The opposite side draws inspiration from the monument's towering column and surrounding classical details. The original Monument to Independence was inaugurated in Mexico City in 1910 to commemorate the centennial of the beginning of Mexico's struggle for independence.
Limited to 9,999 pieces worldwide, each coin contains 1/1000 troy ounce of .999 palladium and measures only 12 mm in diameter. It is issued by Liberia with a $12 denomination and comes presented in a display card with a Certificate of Authenticity.
