2026 Liberia Retro Rocket 1/200 oz Gold Bar
The 2026 Liberia Retro Rocket 1/200 oz Gold Bar brings the optimism and imagination of the early space age into a miniature precious-metal collectible. Struck from 1/200 troy ounce of .999 fine gold, the coin features a stylized retro rocket climbing through a star-filled sky with the moon in the background. Its rectangular shape with rounded corners gives it the appearance of a tiny gold bar while preserving its status as legal tender issued by the Republic of Liberia.
The design draws on the visual language of mid-20th-century science fiction, when rockets, lunar exploration, and visions of space travel became symbols of technological progress and adventure. The upward-flying rocket, trailing flames beneath it, gives the piece a playful vintage character that makes it especially appealing to collectors of space-themed coins and unusual modern gold issues.
The obverse features the Coat of Arms of Liberia along with the issuing country, 2026 date, $20 denomination, weight, and gold fineness. Despite measuring only 15.2 × 8.6 mm, the piece carries a Proof finish and a worldwide mintage of just 999 coins, making it a particularly scarce modern fractional-gold collectible.
Each Retro Rocket coin comes in a capsule with a Certificate of Authenticity. Its combination of miniature gold format, space-age styling, sovereign legal-tender status, and very limited production gives it appeal well beyond its intrinsic gold content.
